a real post?
well, this is the middle of chaos. This weekend was SnowDoubt, the high school retreat, and I am so glad I got to experience it as a leader. It was an awesome weekend and I got to see thisgs from a totally different perspective than I did as a student. It was great to just connect and engage with the kids. Thankfully, I am becoming more and more comfortable with being in a leadership position, because New Orleans is next week! I got to lead a group of 11th grade girls, and loved it!!
The theme for this retreat was > (greater than). We has sessions that talked about how God is greater than our biggest fear, our biggest hurt and our biggest need. It was great to see the girls open up and grow closer to each other as a group. Probably my favorite part of the whole weekend was the worship music. I was hesitant at first to really engage like I normally do because I wasn't a student anymore. By Saturday night though, well, it was just amazing.
We did my FAVORITE song..."Love can
change the world." I like it so much for these lines...
change the world." I like it so much for these lines...
"May we never stop this dreaming for a better world. May we never stop believing in the impossible." It's just a good song.
Next weekend is the middle school retreat and I have 3 hours inbetween the time I get home from that and the time we pull out of the parking lot for New Orleans. It will be amazing.
